NASA surprised the whole world at the end of 2019 with a stunning image of the Earth that was recorded from the International Space Station by one of the astronauts on a mission there. Below you can see the image that was recorded on December 12 by this astronaut, those from NASA published it to show us what the Moon looks like when the night approaches to cover a vast region of Canada.

NASA shows us a frozen Earth that is going to be covered by the cold universe, and that the Moon is going to watch over in the next hours, the image itself having a great importance in the whole context. Those from NASA claim that the vast area below is a very important habitat for the animals in the winter area, it being completely frozen and allowing the crossing of the Hudson Bay by polar bears and other animals that are looking for food in the winter.

NASA regularly publishes images of outer space and planets that are extremely far from Earth, but sometimes it's good to see what our planet looks like when it is seen from very, very high up. The respective area in Canada benefits from only 6-7 hours of light every day, and although the picture was taken by NASA astronauts around 1 o'clock in the afternoon, then the sun was starting to set, and the moon was starting to make its way in the sky completely frozen.

NASA shows us areas of the globe that we would not normally see that often, and where sustaining life is extremely difficult due to the unfavorable conditions for life. NASA is trying to show us how winter is starting to cover a good part of the planet at the moment, so in the next period we should see more images that reveal just how frozen the Earth is at the moment.
