In 2019, Romania registered an impressive record on the mobile telephony market, which also shows how dissatisfied Romanians are with the services they receive from operators in the country. ANCOM announced today that 958.821 landline and mobile phone numbers were ported between Digi Mobil, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom in 2019, which is a record, but not far from what happened in 2016 .
As I have already told you several times, Digi Mobil was the undisputed leader in terms of network porting, Telekom following thanks to the very good offers they launched. Portability started in Romania more than 10 years ago, and thanks to it, any customer dissatisfied with the services of an operator could go to another network to benefit from better prices, and maybe higher quality services.
AMAZING RECORD in Romania for the Mobile Phone Market
This year's record for the telecom market in Romania shows us once again that democracy is very good, and that offering options to people is the best way to create competition with positive effects. Digi Mobil's performance comes against the background of extremely good offers they have for Romanian customers, the prices they offer at the moment are much better than those of the competition, although the services are inferior.
As you can see in the image above, the average number of porters for the last four years is over 900.000 numbers annually, and that's a total of over 25 million active numbers in Romania at the moment. Making a comparison between the number of porters and the number of customers who benefit from mobile phone services, we could say that complaints are reduced, but even so, the number of porters is continuously increasing in Romania.
