Netflix has officially made an amazing announcement about customers around the world, here's what the company revealed about the subscribers it has now.

Netflix customers

Netflix made an official announcement last night regarding customers around the world, the American company taking everyone by surprise because no one expected to hear such good news. Those from Netflix announced that the number of subscribers globally increased to 167 million subscribers, with 8.8 million more subscribers than in Q3 2019, and with 7.6 million more subscribers than the company expected to have.

Netflix managed to attract in Q4 2019 almost as many subscribers as in Q4 2018, a sign that the world is still extremely interested in seeing the films and series that are available on the platform. Despite this substantial growth at the global level, in the US and Canada things did not go so well, where Netflix added only 550.000 subscribers to its platform, i.e. somewhere around half compared to Q3 2019, and a third compared to Q4 2018.

Netflix blame 2019 price increases and increasing competition from competing streaming services for this situation, but global growth fully offsets losses in the US and Canada. Netflix also has high expectations for Q1 2020, when it expects to add another 7 million subscribers to its platform, the figure being still lower than the 9.6 million subscribers it added in the first quarter of 2019.

Netflix will have bigger problems after Disney+ will be launched in more areas around the globe, the company behind it announcing that availability has been advanced to March and summer this year. Apple TV Plus is another problem that Netflix will have in 2020, and this is because there is more and more content, of better quality, and as Apple offers it for free for users who buy its products, the number of users it's big.

Netflix it will also have a problem with HBO Max, which will be launched in May of this year, but it has a very big advantage in that it is available in 190 countries around the world, which no other service has.
