EURO 2020 is coming to Romania this summer, even if the national football team will qualify or not, and those who have already bought tickets online will be able to access the stadium right from their mobile phone, without needing a physical ticket .

FRF announced today the new system for issuing tickets for EURO 2020, UEFA preparing in the summer the launch of a special application for all those who bought tickets, which will facilitate the use of tickets in the stadiums of any of the 12 countries.

EURO 2020 it will practically allow much easier access to the matches without having to carry new tickets in physical format, and what UEFA says is that this system will make it much more difficult, including the forgery of tickets, a problem encountered in the case of every tournament of this kind.

EURO 2020 has already sold a first round of tickets for matches, including in Romania, and other tickets will be put on sale in the following months, so if you haven't bought one yet, you still have the opportunity to do so.

EURO 2020 it starts in the middle of June, Bucharest will host some of the matches from the final tournament, and in March we will find out if we will be able to support our national team from the stands, or we will watch on TV again as others play in our place.

"The new mobile ticketing system will allow a safe distribution of tickets and will facilitate the prevention of duplicate tickets and the appearance of their replicas, as the QR codes will be activated via Bluetooth only when the fans are in the vicinity of the stadium. The UEFA EURO 2020 mobile ticketing project builds on the success of the first UEFA Nations League finals in June 2019, when more than 110.000 tickets (representing 80% of the available amount) for the four games were successfully delivered to mobile phones .

Fans who purchased UEFA EURO 2020 tickets during the sale phase in December 2019 and who will do so during subsequent sales phases closer to the start of the final tournament will receive their tickets in the form of mobile tickets via the mobile ticketing application of UEFA EURO 2020. This app will be available to download for Android and iOS phones towards the end of May 2020. Mobile tickets will be directed to the app no ​​later than seven days before the relevant match. UEFA expects to send fans a total of over one million mobile tickets for all 51 matches."
