Coronavirus Romania: case 15 confirmed by the Romanian authorities

Coronavirus Romania case 15

Coronavirus has a 15th infection confirmed in Romania by the authorities, and we are talking about a new case for today, but the infection is not related to Bucharest, but to Mures, a woman being detected as being infected with the virus.

The woman came from Italy on March 6, and already has symptoms of the virus, and apart from those infected in Romania by people coming from Italy, this is a new "import case", the virus being brought by Romanians returning from Italy.

The authorities in Romania have not yet taken the decision to ban flights from Italy to Romania, but considering that the virus was brought to Romania by people who returned from Italy, despite strong warnings to stay there, it is possible that this measure should be taken.

"The person has been in isolation at home since March 6 this year, as he returned to the country from Italy (Ancona/Bologna). Samples were collected yesterday, after the woman had breathing difficulties, cough and fever. The woman will be transported in an isolation ward for admission to the Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Cluj."
