Coronavirus Romania Cases March 20

The coronavirus has infected 308 Romanians so far, the authorities making the announcement just a few minutes ago, and we are talking about a new increase compared to yesterday, as of course it was to be expected, this happening daily.

According to the authorities, the number of cured people increased to 31, that is, 6 more people were declared cured, while the number of new cases increased by 31 compared to yesterday, almost double, but still lower than two years ago days.

Among the cured people, 22 are from Timisoara, 8 from Bucharest, and 1 from Iasi, the capital being the city with the most infections, which is normal since it also has the largest number of inhabitants among all cities in Romania at the moment .

"Until today, March 20, 308 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed in Romania. Of the 308 people confirmed positive, 31 were declared cured and discharged (22 in Timișoara, 8 in Bucharest and one in Iași).

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 31 new cases of illness have been registered.

The newly confirmed patients range in age from 17 to 89 years.

At the moment, 11 patients are hospitalized at ATI, two of them in serious condition. The health status of the other patients is good, stable.

On the territory of Romania, there are 4.044 people in institutionalized quarantine for whom checks are carried out to find out if they have contacted the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus). Another 45.432 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

Until this date, at the national level, 8.284 tests have been processed, of which 40 in private medical units. Of these, 7.976 had a negative result, i.e. the people from whom the analyzed samples were taken are not infected with COVID-19

In the last 24 hours, 1.604 calls were made to the single emergency number 112 and 4.950 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

Until now, 98 criminal files have been drawn up by the competent structures of the MAI, under the aspect of committing the crime of thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code.
