Regarding the number of people in quarantine, it has reached 4200, but there are over 55.000 people in isolation at home, a huge number, which must be monitored very carefully, because there are more than likely some infected people there , most likely even asymptomatic.

"Until today, March 21, on the territory of Romania, 367 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the 367 people confirmed positive, 52 were declared cured and discharged (36 in Timișoara, 11 in Bucharest, 3 in Craiova, one in Constanța and one in Iași).

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, sent yesterday, March 20, at 13.00:59 p.m., another XNUMX new cases of illness have been registered.

The newly confirmed patients range in age from one year to 74 years.

At the moment, 14 patients are admitted to ATI, of which 3 are in serious condition. The health status of the other patients is good, stable.

On the territory of Romania, there are 4.207 people in institutionalized quarantine for whom checks are carried out to find out if they have contacted the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus). Another 55.198 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

Until this date, at the national level, 8.915 tests have been processed, of which 40 in private medical units.

In the last 24 hours, 1.501 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 5.704 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

Until now, 117 criminal files have been drawn up by the authorized structures of the MAI, under the aspect of committing the crime of thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code. At the same time, the Police applied 329 contraventional sanctions for non-compliance with isolation/quarantine measures.
