More precisely, those from Huawei intend to implement a touch screen around the main camera in the future phone models that they want to put on sale, something that so far we have not seen in any phone model that was launched on market.
Huawei has a very interesting plan, and that's because he doesn't want to integrate a large screen next to the camera of his phones, but a circular one, which surrounds it, at least according to a new patent. Huawei describes in this patent what appear to be phones from the Mate series, so not any completely new series of phone models, so the changes should reach versions that are known to the general public.
Huawei: Unexpected PREMIERE for its Mobile Phones
Huawei wants to allow people to use this screen to control various functions of mobile phones, specifically those to set alarms, see messages, go directly there, or call people. The idea itself is interesting, because if, for example, the phone is placed with the screen down somewhere, the user will be able to see on that small, circular screen, the messages received from other people, or how to call something else, or the this is what Huawei suggests.

What's unusual about this patent is a new touchscreen that surrounds the four rear cameras. According to the patent, the small round display on the back is capable of showing a user interface. It lets users control things like calls, notifications, volume, alarms, and the clock.”
Huawei he has very interesting ideas about how such a type of screen could be used with his phones, but of course we are also talking about a rather difficult implementation, including software. On the other hand, those from Huawei plan to offer customers a completely new experience of using their phones, and this idea fits perfectly with what should be offered by devices that stand out after launch.
