Telekom has had a new offer for some time for those who are its customers, or want to become its customers in Romania, this one is called Mobil Nelimitat, and at first glance it seems to be very good compared to that of the competition. Those from Telekom offer Romanian customers the opportunity to benefit from unlimited everything at extremely low prices, lower than the competition, and as I said, the offer seems good, and in theory it would be, with a small/large exception.
Telekom it mentions a small/big problem on the page where it lists the information of the Mobile Unlimited offer, the mention being made very discreetly, somewhere at the bottom of the page, and most likely not seen by many. Telekom does not clearly highlight the fact that for the Mobile Unlimited offer there is a limitation regarding streaming, the maximum speed at which it can be done is only 1.5 Mbps, which can be a very big problem for many.

Telekom says that this limitation for streaming traffic through Mobil Nelimitat ensures the possibility of viewing video content at the maximum resolution of 480p, which, depending on the phone, can be sufficient or terrible. On phones with large screens, this resolution is very bad, and Telekom knows this, but the limitation is put in order not to generate too much traffic in its network, and to congest it with subscriptions that probably do not bring much profit.
"The UNLIMITED NET bonus offers free traffic, and streaming video traffic requires the allocation of a maximum transfer bandwidth of 1,5 Mbps, which ensures a maximum resolution of 480p for this type of content. The Unlimited Mobile subscription does not contain Roaming benefits."
Telekom does not specify very clearly if this "video streaming" means only dedicated platforms, such as Netflix, HBO Go, etc., or any kind of video playback is limited, i.e. including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. If we were to talk about the second situation, then the Mobil Nelimitat offer is not exactly great for Telekom customers who do other things than surf the Internet, but of course everything depends on each case.
Telekom we did not mention this limitation somewhere where it would be very easily seen by customers, for obvious reasons, but considering that it offers e-cards and subscriptions without a contractual period, anyone can give up the services at any time.
