DIGI Mobil: Why This Is BAD News for Customers

In recent months, DIGI Mobil has been at the center of a very extensive process that seems to have brought many benefits to customers, but now comes bad news.

DIGI Mobile slow down

DIGI Mobile it still remains one of the largest telecommunications operators in Romania, with several million customers, but it is not clear how many, because RCS & RDS avoids providing figures. However, DIGI Mobil remains a very important one, and last year it surprised everyone with the decision to invest massively in its 5G network, managing to surpass Vodafone in terms of coverage, although the competing network launched the service before it, and Orange still hasn't caught up From behind.

DIGI Mobile continued to invest massively in its 5G network in Romania, currently having coverage in 10 large cities, together with Poiana Brasov, Busteni and Predeal, more than any other operator. Although those at DIGI Mobil constantly update their coverage information for 2G, 3G, 4G networks, in the case of 5G, more than a month has already passed since DIGI Mobil did not offer any new information regarding the changes, and it is possible to have slowed down the investments in this important network for the future.

DIGI Mobil: Why This Is BAD News for Customers

DIGI Mobile has invested a lot in its 5G network so far, it is not known how many users there are for it at the moment, but a slowdown in investments would not be exactly unusual. Considering that the auction for 5G frequencies will not take place very soon due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and people will not rush to buy 5G phones too soon, if DIGI Mobil, and the rest of the operators, decide to substantially reduce investments in 5G, it wouldn't exactly be a bad thing.

DIGI Mobile it still has a very big advantage over its competitors in terms of 5G coverage at the moment, and when everything resumes, it will stay with it. Of course, it will also be necessary for the world to buy 5G phones from DIGI Mobil, and as the operator is oriented towards customers with low budgets who want cheap subscriptions, it is difficult to predict how much interest there is for expensive phones with the latest technology.

DIGI Mobile will be one of the companies that will participate in the auction for the 5G frequencies that will be used for the future networks in Romania, but it is not yet known when this could take place.
