DIGI | RCS & RDS started 2020 extremely well, maybe even much better than many expected, and this after taking what seems to be a decision that greatly complicates the lives of those at Telekom. DIGI | RCS & RDS seems quite clear to have made the decision not to buy Telekom's mobile services division, as was rumored a few months ago, and this is because it has invested serious sums to build its own 2G infrastructure in the country.
DIGI | RCS & RDS managed to almost reach the 3G coverage with the one it has for the 2G network now, and all in just over 6 months of non-stop investments, or at least that's what was seen from the outside. DIGI | RCS & RDS has managed to maintain a fairly constant pace of investments for its 2G network, and this now puts it in a surprisingly good position in relation to the rest of its competitors in Romania, having exactly what the others have.

DIGI | RCS & RDS started as an operator with a 3G network, then added the 4G network, then the 5G network, but returned to the 2G network because there were problems with the signal inside the buildings, and that's how he found the solution. DIGI | RCS & RDS also wanted to buy the mobile services division of Telekom, just for the infrastructure, and this because it did not want to take over the customers, but in the end it was left only with the strategy of creating its own 2G infrastructure.
DIGI | RCS & RDS he still made a good decision, and that's because he has his own network made the way he wants, with an investment that is more than likely lower than the amount he should have paid for the Telekom infrastructure. Moreover, Telekom does not have such a good infrastructure anyway, internet speeds are low, signal problems are high, so that DIGI | RCS & RDS make the better decision to make their own investments, instead of taking something from others.
DIGI | RCS & RDS it will more than likely come very close to finalizing its 2G infrastructure investment plans by the end of this year, and all its customers will benefit from this.
