Apple announced that it intends to close some stores in the US due to the violent protests that are taking place there these days after a Minneapolis police officer killed George Floyd, giving rise to violent protests rarely seen in the civilized world.
Apple decided to close its stores after, in some cities where these violent protests are taking place, the stores of large US commercial chains were broken into and looted, and those in Cupertino fear that they could be the target of similar attacks.
Apple seems to make decisions "on a day-to-day basis" in terms of keeping stores closed, and that means that all customers who need to visit them should carefully look at the schedule updated daily by the people in Cupertino for its stores .
Unsurprisingly, many of Apple's store closures today have been extended at least through tomorrow. They'll definitely be assessing this situation day by day. It's hard to imagine stores were boarded up that tight for just one night. pic.twitter.com/6QZj3Y36tW
