RCS & RDS is an operator with many millions of customers in Romania at the moment, and for many of them came in 2020 a very good news that solves a big problem of the company. I'm talking here about the fact that RCS & RDS invested a lot in a 2G infrastructure throughout Romania, which solved the problem it had on the mobile phone side with the signal in certain areas, especially inside buildings, one of which cried the people.
RCS & RDS made large investments to create and expand coverage for its 2G network in many areas in Romania, and at the moment the network covers almost everything that was covered by 3G and 4G networks. There are some areas where RCS & RDS has more coverage with this new 2G network compared to others, and this brings the possibility to benefit from the signal for phone calls where there were serious problems until now.

RCS & RDS wanted to buy the mobile services division of Telekom to improve its 2G coverage throughout the country, but in the end decided to build its own infrastructure. This decision turns out to be auspicious for customers all over the country, and this is because RCS & RDS built an infrastructure as it needed, and covered the problem areas, instead of buying the infrastructure of another company, and possibly to repair what needed to be repaired.
RCS & RDS he did not take this decision very easily, more than likely, and this is because it was a sustained investment, which was stopped a month ago, but after the network was massively expanded. RCS & RDS tried to cover as many people as possible with its 2G network, and the results of the investments show us that things seem to have been thought through, but we must not forget that the network is only intended for phone call coverage, the internet having speeds extremely small.
RCS & RDS will continue to invest in its networks throughout the country, and all Romanian customers will benefit from this, and it remains to be seen what kind of announcements will be made in the future.
