COVID-19 continues to cause great problems for the authorities in Romania, and this is because the number of people admitted to intensive care continues to grow, setting a new record today, reaching 412.

We are talking about the largest number of people hospitalized in intensive care, and infected with COVID-19, since the pandemic began, the increases in recent weeks forcing the authorities to increase the number of beds for citizens infected with the new virus.

More than 900 intensive care beds will be available from the next period in Romania, according to Raed Arafat, the increase being necessary due to the constant increases in the number of infections with COVID-19, and it is expected that things will go in this direction and in future.

"In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.530. Of these, 412 patients are admitted to ATI.

27.592 patients were declared cured and 4.777 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1.075 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
