The Ministry of Health says that 58 people have died in the last 24 hours in Romania, the highest number so far, but it is expected that this number will continue to increase as more and more confirmations are made daily, without there being any substantial decrease.

"Until today, 3.367 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

In the interval 24.08.2020 (10:00) - 25.08.2020 (10:00) 58 deaths (32 men and 26 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Arad, Argeș, Bacău were recorded . , Vâlcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and the Municipality of Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the 20-29 age category, 1 death in the 30-39 year age category, 4 deaths in the 40-49 year age category, 10 in the 50-59 year age category, 11 deaths in age category 60-69 years, 20 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 10 deaths in the category over 80 years.

57 of the registered deaths are of patients who had co-morbidities, and one deceased patient had no co-morbidities."
