The coronavirus in Romania continues to be a major problem for everyone, and this is also because new relaxation measures have come, from which a new increase in the number of cases is expected, last week bringing us a new important record, which is may be passed now.
The number of deaths is constantly increasing, as is that of people hospitalized in intensive care, and all this while from today restaurants, theaters, cinemas have reopened, and from the middle of the month school starts again, and at the end of the month they have local elections take place.
The authorities expect the number of new daily cases of Coronavirus to exceed 2000 in the next period, so we can expect to see only high numbers reported every day, so things will most likely go from bad to worse if the measures are not respected protection.
"Until today, September 1, on the territory of Romania, 88.593 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
38.454 patients were declared cured and 11.175 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.
Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1.053 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

To date, 3.681 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.
Between 31.08.2020 (10:00) - 01.09.2020 (10:00) 60 deaths (35 men and 25 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș were recorded . , Ilfov and the Municipality of Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 30-39 years, 2 in the age category 40-49 years, 6 deaths were registered in the age category 50-59 years, 16 deaths in the age category 60-69 years , 18 deaths in the 70-79 age category and 17 deaths in the over 80 age category.
58 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had comorbidities, 1 deceased patient had no comorbidities, and for 1 deceased patient no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.164. Of these, 522 are hospitalized at ATI.
Until this date, at the national level, 1.825.272 tests have been processed. Of these, 22.320 were performed in the last 24 hours, 13.517 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 8.803 on request.
Also, since the last information provided by GCS, the results of 6 tests processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until September 1 have been reported.
On the territory of Romania, 9.294 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 5.880 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 32.434 people are in home quarantine, and 71 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 960 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 701 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 639 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 106.300 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 crimes were found yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 of the Criminal Code."
