Coronavirus Romania Cases Cured October 10

The coronavirus remains a very big problem for the citizens of Romania, one that the authorities have no way of getting rid of at the moment, and this is because the number of new cases continues to be very high, and this generates a very big problem in terms of it concerns the capacity of hospitals.

The records of new cases announced this week by the authorities were not the only ones, and this is because we also had records of deaths, or admissions to intensive care, the situation being an extremely serious one, and it will continue to worsen in the coming weeks.

The Coronavirus pandemic will not stop soon in Romania, but the authorities are trying to convince people to protect themselves in order to at least reduce the number of those who need to be admitted to hospitals, and of those who develop serious forms of the disease, and reach therapy intensive.

"Until today, October 10, on the territory of Romania, 152.403 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

116.628 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 3.517 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 571 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

To date, 5.358 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

In the interval 09.10.2020 (10:00) - 10.10.2020 (10:00) 59 deaths (39 men and 20 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Bacău were reported .

Of these, 1 death was registered in the 30-39 age category, 2 deaths were registered in the 40-49 age category, 8 deaths in the 50-59 year age category, 13 deaths in the 60 age category -69 years, 13 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 22 deaths in the category over 80 years.

58 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had co-morbidities, and one deceased patient had no co-morbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 8.854. Of these, 629 are hospitalized at ATI. 

Up to this date, at the national level, 2.656.828 tests have been processed. Of these, 29.284 were performed in the last 24 hours, 16.924 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 12.360 on request.

On the territory of Romania, 13.247 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 8.464 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 27.472 people are in home quarantine, and 9 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

 

In the last 24 hours, 1.980 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.290 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 4.857 contraventional sanctions, worth 650.787 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 2 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported aspects.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 6.812 Romanian citizens have been confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.917 in Italy, 1.253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2.999 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain , 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 122 in Austria, 21 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo and Qatar. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the US, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died."
