UPDATE: Klaus Iohannis holds an important press conference regarding the Coronavirus pandemic in Romania.

The Coronavirus pandemic in Romania continues to expand at an accelerated rate, community transmission being very aggressive, and doctors are constantly complaining that they can no longer cope with the large number of patients who come to hospitals every day, and require dedicated medical care.

The numbers of patients hospitalized in intensive care, and of deaths, continue to increase, all because of the constant increase in people who are infected due to the Coronavirus, and things are not going any way for the better because every day we see more and more infections confirmed by authority.

The Romanian government refuses to impose quarantine in the whole country, despite the current problems, and this is because the main concern is the economy, so it remains to be seen how things will evolve, and how many more people will be infected.

"Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4.724 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
