Raed Arafat: medical students supplement doctors in COVID-19 hospitals

Raed Arafat, medical students supplement the doctors in the COVID-19 hospitals

Raed Arafat finally made an announcement that was long overdue, and that's because medical students will finally be able to enter the hospitals where patients with the Corona virus are being treated, and they will be able to help the doctors who are exhausted after so many months of fighting.

Raed Arafat says that the emergency ordinance that will allow this was adopted during the government meeting that took place last night, and the universities are already making lists of students who want to enter the fight against COVID-19, so that the medical system would follow to receive unexpected help, which should have come a long time ago.

"The ordinance is ready for adoption today. We, moreover, in collaboration with the universities, started to create the lists, so the universities started to create the lists. The second it is published, we will start taking over the students who have registered and distributing them. (...) We didn't wait for the adoption, knowing that it was in the first reading and we already started to mobilize. When it goes live, hopefully tomorrow, we're already starting to implement it.

I really appreciate this initiative and, in a way, the students can also set an example for everyone. Anyone who can do something good in this battle must join us in this battle. (...) To think very carefully about communication, interaction, the way to involve them, the actual activities in which they can be involved, so that we have their involvement as serious as possible and at the same time they feel our support and appreciation for the effort they make I do it."
