Coronavirus Romania New Cases Cured November 23

Last week brought us a new record of new cases of Coronavirus in Romania, and this despite the fact that the authorities keep saying that the situation is getting better, but in reality things are not, unfortunately, that's how it is, the situation is still extremely serious, unfortunately.

There are still many daily deaths, but also many people hospitalized in intensive care, and the numbers will continue to increase because until now there have been many infections with the new Coronavirus, so the situation will not improve for us too soon, from apcate

The authorities in Romania insist on protective measures, without being eager to impose new restrictive measures, so it remains to be seen to what extent other methods will be used to make people understand that they must protect themselves against a possible infections.

"Until today, November 23, on the territory of Romania, 422.852 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. 

296.844 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4.207 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 445 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 10.177 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 22.11.2020 (10:00) - 23.11.2020 (10:00) 130 deaths (74 men and 56 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad hospitals, were reported. Romania Vrancea and Vaslui.

Of these, 4 deaths were recorded in the 40-49 age category, 9 deaths in the 50-59 age category, 44 deaths in the 60-69 age category, 34 deaths in the 70-79 age category years and 39 deaths in the over 80 category.

125 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had co-morbidities, 1 deceased patient had no co-morbidities, and for 4 deceased patients no co-morbidities have been reported to date.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13.685. Of these, 1.160 are hospitalized at ATI.  

Up to this date, at the national level, 3.908.681 tests have been processed. Of these, 9.938 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7.488 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 2.450 on request.

On the territory of Romania, 48.034 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 12.459  people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 82.274 people are in home quarantine, and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3.334 calls were made to the single emergency number 112. 

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 22 this year, 8.948 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 1.737.293 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 3 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.
