Telekom: IMPORTANT decision for MILLIONS of Customers

Telekom made a very important decision for millions of customers from all over Romania, here is what will happen in the next months.

Telekom continuity

Telekom is currently one of the largest telecommunications operators in our country, with over 10 million active customers in the fixed and mobile service divisions, which have still remained united, for now. As you already know very well, the fixed services division of Telekom will be sold to Orange after all the necessary approvals from the European Commission, the Competition Council, CSAT, and any other institution involved.

Telekom will still remain in Romania, but only the mobile services division will continue its activity, between 3 and 4 million customers will continue to benefit from its services in our country. The decision that this division should not be sold for the time being was taken by the German Deutsche Telekom group after negotiations with RCS & RDS, and other parties, but none of them made a satisfactory offer to take over the majority of the shares.

Telekom: IMPORTANT decision for MILLIONS of Customers

Telekom it will still remain a strong mobile phone operator in Romania, with more customers than DIGI Mobil, but also better services, given that it has surprisingly good offers since the beginning of the year. Those from Telekom continue to attract large numbers of customers by porting to their own network, and continue to be a "thorn in the ribs" of those from RCS & RDS, and this will not change after the fixed services division is sold.

Telekom it also has a new CEO from November 9, he will most likely stay at the mobile services division after it will remain the only one in Romania, and it is unclear for now whether it will be sold or not. It is very possible that Detusche Telekom will continue to look for a buyer for its mobile services division in Romania, but if it will find one or not, it is hard to say, and until then Telekom customers will benefit as usual from the services until now .

Telekom entered the Romanian market in 2014, and in just 6 years sold half of the company, still managing to position itself on the market as a strong company with good services and a strong competitive spirit.
