RCS & RDS is at the center of a last-minute warning that targets all Romanians, not just the customers of the telecommunications operator, and if you use its services, you must necessarily know what is happening, because you are directly affected. More precisely, the Government of Romania, a warning aimed at all Romanians because the image of RCS & RDS is being used again in a phishing attack, intended to steal money from Romanians.
RCS & RDS has the image used by hackers in what appears to be a contest that has a series of extremely interesting prizes, but which is just a trick to steal people's money directly from their bank accounts. Hackers promise Romanians that they have the chance to win Samsung GALAXY S20 phones, MacBook Pros, or iPhone 11 phones from RCS & RDS, but everything ends with a page where they are asked to make a certain payment.

RCS & RDS has the image used in this phishing attack because we are talking about a very large company, with many clients, and any Romanian can be fooled, not just clients, because hackers do not differentiate. People are told they have been chosen at random to win one of the above prizes from RCS & RDS but are also asked for money to get those products to them, and a page where they have to enter their card details appears at a certain time.
RCS & RDS I don't ask Romanians for money for any kind of contest, so if you see somewhere a message like the one in the image above, you must know that everything is just a big lie, and nothing more. This warning applies not only to RCS & RDS, but also to any other large companies, which do not ask people for money to send them the prizes won in contests, no matter what it is, so it is good to know this.
RCS & RDS cannot solve problems of this kind in any way, so we are the ones who have to protect ourselves in order not to have your card data and money stolen by hackers.
