Coronavirus Romania New Cases Cured December 5

In the midst of the Corona virus pandemic, we are waiting for a new information from the authorities in Romania regarding the new cases registered in the past 24 hours until 10:00 on December 5, and we can expect new big figures from the authorities.

The numbers of deaths, and of people hospitalized in intensive care, continue to be very high, the authorities in our country failing to control the way the pandemic evolves from this point of view, unfortunately for everyone.

The authorities in Romania have also announced a series of relaxations of the restrictive measures imposed in our country, some coming into force today, while others will come into force from the beginning of next week, but it is possible that their effect will be negative.

"Until today, December 5, on the territory of Romania, 508.345 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

399.207 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 8.072 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 1.667 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 12.186 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 04.12.2020 (10:00) and 05.12.2020 (10:00) 134 deaths (79 men and 55 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad hospitals, were reported. Bacău, Bihor, Bistrita-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Calarasi, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Iasi, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiş, Tulcea, Vaslui and Vrancea.

Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 30-39 years, 3 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 14 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 33 deaths in the age category 60- 69 years, 45 deaths in the 70-79 age category and 38 deaths in the over 80 age category.

All registered deaths are of patients who had comorbidities.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12.472. Of these, 1.280 are hospitalized at ATI.

Up to this date, at the national level, 4.237.925 tests have been processed. Of these, 32.441 were performed in the last 24 hours, 20.672 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 11.679 on request.

Also, since the last information provided by GCS, the results of 4 tests processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until December 5 have been reported.

On the territory of Romania, 44.941 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 11.979 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 79.642 people are in home quarantine, and 88 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

 

In the last 24 hours, 4.827 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 875 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 4 this year, 5.708 contraventional sanctions, worth 897.100 lei.

Also, the competent structures of the Police prepared, yesterday, 7 criminal files for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 of the Criminal Code, in which 8 people are investigated.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported aspects.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 6.914 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus): 1.936 in Italy, 1.253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3.056 in Germany, 167 in the Great Britain, 36 in Hungary, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo , Qatar, Vatican City, Portugal and Egypt. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia."
