Coronavirus Romania New Cases Cured December 15

The coronavirus is putting extremely high pressure on the medical system in Romania, the growing numbers of confirmed cases bringing the hospitals and other medical institutions in our country close to being closed, the authorities confirming this on a regular basis.

Many people are hospitalized in intensive care, and many deaths are recorded every day, things continue to go worse, unfortunately for us, which raises many question marks regarding the current situation.

The authorities in Romania yesterday extended the state of alert due to the Coronavirus, but they introduced only one new restriction for mountain resorts, the rest of the restrictions adopted until now still remain in force in our country.

"Until today, December 15, on the territory of Romania, 565.758 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

465.050 patients were declared cured.

 

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 6.171 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

 

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 947 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 13.698 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

 

Between 14.12.2020 (10:00) and 15.12.2020 (10:00) 204 deaths (133 men and 71 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrita-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanta, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galati, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iasi, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare , Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and the City of Bucharest.

 

Of these, 2 deaths were registered in the age category 20-29 years, 2 deaths in the age category 30-39 years, 2 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 21 deaths in the age category 50-59 of years, 58 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 64 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 55 deaths in the category over 80 years.

 

190 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had comorbidities, for 2 deceased patients no comorbidities were recorded, and for 12 deceased patients no comorbidities were reported to date.

 

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12.202. Of these, 1.255 are hospitalized at ATI.

 

Until this date, at the national level, 4.461.315 tests have been processed. Of these, 25.185 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15.740 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 9.445 on request.

 

On the territory of Romania, 42.590 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 11.666 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 64.751 people are in home quarantine, and 138 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

 

In the last 24 hours, 4.472 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.214 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

 

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 14 this year, 5.795 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 904.580 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 2 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

 

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported aspects.

 

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 7.000 Romanian citizens have been confirmed as infected with SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus): 1.936 in Italy, 1.253 in Spain, 125 in France, 3.085 in Germany, 167 in Great Britain, 49 in Denmark, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 4 in Sweden, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey , 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 12 in the Republic of Moldova, 2 in Montenegro and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg , Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican City, Portugal, Egypt and Russian Federation. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with infection with the new coronavirus, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine."
