Coronavirus Romania: New Cases, Healings from December 20, 2020

Coronavirus Romania New Cases Cured December 20

A new report on the Corona virus pandemic in Romania shows us that things are staying on that plateau that the authorities are talking about, but this is also because the daily number of tests done in Romania is much lower than in previous weeks.

The numbers of people hospitalized in intensive care, and of deaths, still continue to be much higher than in the past, which is, after all, the biggest problem of the whole situation, and unfortunately we will see even higher numbers in the period future

The authorities in Romania say that during the winter holidays, people must respect all the preventive measures against the spread of the Coronavirus, and they have started to make new checks and apply new fines, in the hope that people will respect the restrictions.

"Until today, December 20, on the territory of Romania, 591.294 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

498.777 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 3.350 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
