DIGI Mobile has millions of customers from all over Romania targeted by an official warning that absolutely everyone should know about, because it announces an extremely important change that will come into force on January 1, 2021. More specifically, those roaming benefits that existed for DIGI Mobil, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom customers, will disappear completely because Great Britain is officially leaving the European Union, and the "roam like at home" regulations no longer apply.
DIGI Mobile it is not the only operator whose clients are affected by this situation, all those in Romania being affected to the same extent, but now we are talking about the telecommunications operator owned by those from RCS & RDS. If you have a mobile phone subscription, or a card, from DIGI Mobil, it would be good to know that from January 1 you will pay high roaming prices to be able to talk on the phone, send/receive SMS, and surf the internet.
DIGI Mobil: Official WARNING for MILLIONS of Customers
DIGI Mobile has not yet made an official announcement regarding the prices it will charge starting on January 1, although it should have done so, but we will probably see it in the following days. DIGI Mobil has not updated its website or information about the new roaming rates that will be charged to customers traveling in the UK and on January 1st they will be there, so many will see them in their bills.
DIGI Mobile, like Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, should inform their customers in advance about the costs they will have if they use their phones while roaming in Great Britain, because they will be very high. Before "roam like at home" was implemented, DIGI Mobil customers, and not only, paid high costs for telecommunications services in Great Britain, and this is not changing for the better now, but will probably return to the previous costs.
DIGI Mobile will announce the new tariffs at some point, but in the meantime it's good to know that high prices await you for telecommunications services in the UK starting January 1, 2021, so don't spend too much.
