Coronavirus Romania New Cases Cured December 29

The situation of the Corona virus pandemic in Romania is still very serious, as vaccination has already started in some areas of the country, over 2000 people have already been vaccinated, and the number will continue to grow in the coming months.

The numbers of deaths and people admitted to intensive care are still very high, the very large number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus being the basis of this increasingly serious epidemic situation in our country.

The vaccination process will continue in the coming months, the authorities hope that by the summer they will succeed in vaccinating more than half of the Romanians, but it is difficult to say to what extent this plan will turn into reality so that everyone can return to a normal life normal.

"Until today, December 29, on the territory of Romania, 623.066 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

549.262 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4.637 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 866 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 15.469 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

In the interval 28.12.2020 (10:00) - 29.12.2020 (10:00) 135 deaths (89 men and 46 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Arad, Argeș, Bacău, were reported . Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and the City of Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 30-39 years, 4 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 14 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 36 deaths in the age category 60- 69 years, 48 deaths in the 70-79 age category and 32 deaths in the over 80 age category.

129 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had comorbidities, for 4 deceased patients no comorbidities were recorded, and for 2 deceased patients no comorbidities were reported to date.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 9.628. Of these, 1.162 are hospitalized at ATI.

Up to this date, at the national level, 4.751.057 tests have been processed. Of these, 24.242 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15.541 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 8.701 on request.

Also, since the last information provided by GCS, the results of 349 tests processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until December 29 have been reported.

On the territory of Romania, 33.613 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 9.429 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 52.355 people are in home quarantine, and 66 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3.731 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 662 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 28 this year, 5.215 contravention sanctions, in the amount of 1.140.170 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 criminal files were drawn up yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 of the Criminal Code, in which 4 people are investigated.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported aspects.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 7.047 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1.939 in Italy, 1.290 in Spain, 170 in Great Britain, 125 in France, 3.085 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 4 in Sweden, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 11 in Switzerland , 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 2 in Bulgaria, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 12 in the Republic of Moldova, 2 in Montenegro and one each in Argentina, Tunisia , Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican City, Portugal, Egypt and the Russian Federation. From the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) until this moment, 128 Romanian citizens abroad, 33 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with infection with the new coronavirus, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
