Coronavirus Romania: New Cases, Healings from December 30, 2020

Coronavirus Romania New Cases Cured December 30

The Coronavirus pandemic continues in force in our country, the authorities are already starting mass vaccination, but even so, much more is needed for the number of new cases to decrease substantially, and this is far from being easy to achieve in a country like ours.

The numbers of people hospitalized in intensive care, as well as deaths, continue to be very high, and this is due to the fact that many Romanians have been confirmed with the new Coronavirus up to now in Romania, but things are going in the opposite direction.

Unfortunately, the number of coronavirus tests that the authorities do are much lower than in the autumn months, and this is where the rate of confirmations is decreasing, and the real situation of the pandemic in our country is presented in a truncated way.

"Until today, December 30, on the territory of Romania, 627.941 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

554.056 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4.875 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
