Coronavirus Romania: New Cases Announced on January 3, 2021

Coronavirus Romania New Cases January 3

A new information regarding the new cases of Coronavirus was published today by the authorities in Romania, and we see how things have evolved in the last 24 hours in our country, the number of tests done being still very small.

Despite this, deaths continue to be announced daily in too large a number, and there are still too many people hospitalized in intensive care, and all because of the large number of cases of Coronavirus announced in recent months in our country by the authorities.

The authorities expect that after the winter holidays the cases of Coronavirus will increase again in our country, but they do not want to impose new restrictions, continuing to demand compliance with those that have been announced up to now.

"Until today, January 3, on the territory of Romania, 640.429 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

574.897 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 3.034 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
