DIGI Mobile announced the conclusion of an agreement with Vodafone Italia to use the mobile infrastructure throughout the country, making the transition from TIM, whose network was used until now for mobile telephony services. DIGI Mobil makes this change as a total surprise for customers in Italy, but also for potential customers, but it comes as great news because the transition to the new infrastructure of Vodafone Italy can bring better services for customers.
DIGI Mobil: IMPORTANT decision for MILLIONS of Romanians
DIGI Mobile is an MNVO operator in Italy, that is, it does not have its own infrastructure, but only uses that of local operators, and the transition to the Vodafone network will become active from January 17, 2021. Those from DIGI Mobil say that the transition from the TIM network to the Vodafone one will be made gradually during the months of January and February, so it is possible that the mobile phone services offered by the operator will be partially affected.
DIGI Mobile did not say this in the press release, but some publications in the Italian press claim that 3G support for customers will be disabled as part of this transition, and all will be forced to use Vodafone's 4G network. This is not necessarily a bad thing for those who have phones compatible with 4G networks, DIGI Mobil offering them a superior quality of services, but of course with the limits imposed by the operation of an MNVO operator in a country.
