Raed Arafat: the state of alert will be extended until February 2021

Raed Arafat extended alert status February 2021

Raed Arafat announced what everyone already knew for some time, namely that the state of alert will be extended in Romania until the middle of February, something perfectly normal since the Coronavirus pandemic continues in force in our country.

Raed Arafat says that relaxation measures will not be applied in Romania even if the state of alert will be extended, so all the measures so far will be kept, and the Romanians will have to respect everything they have respected so far, but nothing more a lot.

"Recently, the number of cases at ATI has started to decrease. We look at the confirmed cases, their numbers, where they are concentrated. If 1.000 cases appear in Bucharest, 5% will end up in ICU, 30% need oxygen, and so on.

The state of alert is to be extended and there will be no relaxation measures at this time. It will go further on these measures that have been up to now.

Where we see significant increases, zonal measures can be taken as before."
