Another 150.150 doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine against the Coronavirus arrived in Romania during this day, reaching no less than 300.300 doses received so far, and a little over a third used by the authorities.

Romania continues to receive many doses of the vaccine against the Coronavirus, although it does not use it for rapid immunization of the population, despite the fact that in other countries more doses are needed to cover the existing demand among the people.

Today, January 11, the fourth tranche of vaccine from Pfizer BioNTech arrived in Romania, consisting of 150.150 doses, by air, at the airports of Otopeni, Cluj-Napoca and Timișoara.
Transport is provided by the manufacturing company, including at the time of ground transport. Vaccines are transported in optimal safety conditions, in special containers, with carbonic ice and airtight foil.
Thus, the vaccination process continues both in the centers in Bucharest and in the country, with 150.150 doses being distributed, as follows:
– Bucharest Regional Distribution Center: 39.975 doses;
– Regional Distribution Center Brașov: 24.375 doses;
– Cluj Regional Distribution Center: 21.450 doses;
– Constanța Regional Distribution Center: 18.525 doses;
– Regional Distribution Center Craiova: 13.650 doses;
– Iași Regional Distribution Center: 20.475 doses;
– Timișoara Regional Distribution Center: 11.700 doses.
From the 3 previous tranches of vaccines, which arrived in Romania by January 06, 2021 (of 300.300 doses), 131.370 doses were distributed, of which, only today, January 11, 17.130 doses were distributed to the county public health departments and The Directorate of Public Health of the Municipality of Bucharest, as follows: DSPM Bucharest, DSP Arad, DSP Argeș, DSP Brașov, DSP Caraș-Severin, DSP Călărași, DSP Constanța, DSP Covasna, DSP Dâmbovița, DSP Dolj, DSP Hunedoara, DSP Iași, DSP Ilfov, DSP Maramureș, DSP Sălaj, DSP Teleorman, DSP Timiș, DSP Vâlcea.
In the vaccination centers, both doses received by Romania in the second tranche and in the third tranche will be used, based on the requests sent to the National Center and the regional storage centers, through the county public health departments and that of the municipality of Bucharest.
