Coroanvirus Romania New Cases Cured January 13

The coronavirus continues to be a very big problem in Romania, and this despite the efforts of the authorities in our country to convince people to protect themselves as best they can in order to avoid the situation in which they become infected with the new dangerous virus.

Unfortunately, there are still a lot of deaths and people hospitalized in intensive care at the moment, these numbers are constantly increasing, the authorities warning us that this will happen because of the very large number of previous cases.

The vaccination campaign continues strongly in Romania at the moment and will be accelerated starting from January 15, and this is because the second stage is about to begin, all so that as many people as possible are vaccinated, and let's get back to normality.

"Until today, January 13, on the territory of Romania, 681.392 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

610.122 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4.424 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 1.000 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 16.969 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 12.01.2021 (10:00) and 13.01.2021 (10:00) 88 deaths (57 men and 31 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș, were reported .

Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 30-39 years, 7 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 24 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 39 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 17 deaths in the over 80 category.

84 of the registered deaths are of patients who presented comorbidities, and for 4 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 8.751. Of these, 1.081 are hospitalized at ATI. 

Until this date, at the national level, 5.077.520 RT-PCR tests and 23.872 rapid antigenic tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 28.361 RT-PCR tests (18.552 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9.809 on request) and 4.476 rapid antigen tests were performed.

Also, since the last information provided by the GCS, the results of 231 tests processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until January 13th have been reported

On the territory of Romania, 33.148 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 8.757 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 54.347 people are in home quarantine, and 123 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2.579 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 709 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on January 12, 4.349 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 701.625 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 3 criminal files were drawn up yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.
