RCS & RDS has a last-minute message for millions of customers from all over Romania, the telecommunications group taking many people by surprise with a decision that comes as great news for them. More precisely, those from RCS & RDS have again updated the coverage maps for their telecommunications networks, and in them you will be able to see if the location where you are now has better coverage thanks to the investments made by the operator.
RCS & RDS made very large investments in 2020 in improving the telecommunications infrastructure in Romania, thus managing to exceed the 98% percentage for coverage imposed by ANCOM. RCS & RDS has invested a lot of money in its infrastructure to increase coverage, especially inside buildings, but unfortunately this does not bring an improvement in the internet speeds that customers enjoy in almost any area of the country.

RCS & RDS it still avoids investing in its 5G network, and this is because the Romanian Government has been postponing the auction for 5G frequencies for more than a year, although it will bring hundreds of millions of euros to the budget. Until this auction takes place, RCS & RDS will not make any more investments, and it should be mentioned that they sued ANCOM because of them, so the process itself could be greatly extended, and in the meantime the current 5G network remains, enough to stretch.
RCS & RDS is one of the largest telecommunications operators in Romania, with over 3 million customers on the mobile telephony side, but with services that still need many improvements. From this point of view, those from RCS & RDS are far behind the competition, having clearly inferior performances, but also much, much, lower prices, so in the end it is normal that there is not the same quality of mobile services as in the case of Orange or Vodafone.
