The authorities in Romania announced how many Romanians were vaccinated against COVID-19 on February 2, 2021, and we are talking about a decrease in the number of immunizations because the number of doses is insufficient to cover the appointments.

"According to the data made available to CNCAV by the National Institute of Public Health, through the National Electronic Register of Vaccinations (RENV) application, which keeps records of vaccinations, the situation as of February 02, 17.00, is the following:

1. Number of doses of Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine administered (in the last 24 hours): 27.548, to a number of 27.548 persons of which:

– 12.248 people vaccinated with 1 dose;

– 15.300 people vaccinated with 2 doses.

2. Total number of doses of Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine administered (as of December 27, 2020): 748.732, to a number of 610.383 persons of which:

– 472.034 people vaccinated with 1 dose;

– 138.349 people vaccinated with 2 doses.

3. Total number of adverse reactions recorded at the level of vaccination centers (in the last 24 hours): 76 common and minor reactions, from which:

– 13 local reactions;

– 63 general reactions.

4. Total number of adverse reactions recorded at the level of vaccination centers (as of December 27, 2020): 1.956 common and minor reactions, from which:

– 474 local reactions with pain at the injection site;

– 1.482 general reactions (fever, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, asthenia, urticaria type allergies).

* We mention that 10 side effects are under investigation. We specify that the program of the vaccination centers ends at at 20.00, which is why the number of vaccinations carried out in the interval timetable 17.00 – 20.00 it will be reflected in the following day's reporting."
