Samsung: The Announcement that Seemed IMPOSSIBLE, What Decision Was Taken

Samsung is at the center of an announcement that seemed completely impossible, but which propels the company to a much more important position than many thought.

Samsung processors

Samsung is one of the largest companies in the world, and one of the largest mobile phone manufacturers on the planet, but the group itself is involved in many industries at the moment. One of them aims at the production of microchips for various electronic devices, through this division of Samsung, the processors for most of its own phones are produced, but also processors for other partners, including video cards.

Samsung it's not exactly a company that has the most advanced manufacturing processes, but even so, the collaboration with AMD for the integration of American video cards in Korean phones could go further than that. AMD wants to increase its production of processors and video cards by 50%, and although TSMC is taking care of this now, the Taiwanese company does not have enough production lines to meet the needs of Americans, this is mainly because of Apple, which is taking a large part of the production capacity.

Samsung: The Announcement that Seemed IMPOSSIBLE, What Decision Was Taken

Samsung it seems to be the solution that AMD will turn to in order to increase its production by 50% in the next period, or at least that's what the South Korean press claims at the moment. According to local publications, Samsung would take over a part of the production of processors and video cards of AMD to cover the necessary in order to increase the production by 50%, as the American company wants, and this could happen sometime in the near future .

Samsung is now finalizing its 3nm manufacturing process for microchips, and in Texas, USA, it has invested 10 billion dollars in a factory where it will use this technology. For AMD, this factory would be ideal, and would allow it to have almost even the huge production capacity it needs, but it is necessary for Samsung to complete its plans first, and then we will see if it will be chosen and for this collaboration.

Samsung has not said anything yet about this possible partnership with AMD, but no one would have thought that it could be a solution for the production of processors and video boards of the American company.
