The authorities in Romania issued today a new report on the evolution of the Coronavirus pandemic in Romania, and you can see below the information we should know about right now in relation to the plateau situation we are still in in the country.
Deaths and people admitted to ATI still remain at low values, and this is because the number of new cases recently remained at low values, so it is very possible that these figures will not change too soon in the country.
The vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus is not going exactly as it should, and this is because there are not enough doses to immunize all those who have scheduled, or want to do it, so we have to be patient for the situation to improve .
"Until today, February 15, on the territory of Romania, 763.294 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
709.520 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1.331 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.
The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 305 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 19.445 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
In the interval 14.02.2021 (10:00) - 15.02.2021 (10:00) 79 deaths (50 men and 29 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Bacău were reported .
Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 30-39 years, 2 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 23 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 26 deaths in the 70-79 age category and 23 deaths in the over 80 age category.
74 of the recorded deaths are of patients who presented comorbidities, 2 deceased patients did not present comorbidities, and for 3 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.048. Of these, 941 are hospitalized at ATI.
Until this date, at the national level, 5.725.543 RT-PCR tests and 206.277 rapid antigenic tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 5.945 RT-PCR tests (4.194 based on case definition and medical protocol and 1.751 on request) and 3.830 rapid antigen tests were performed.
On the territory of Romania, 39.646 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 10.069 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 59.158 people are in home quarantine, and 133 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 1.470 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on February 14, 6.757 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 1.265.955 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 4 criminal files were drawn up yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 of the Criminal Code."
