DIGI Romania: The HUGE PROBLEM that has been OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED

DIGI Romania has a huge problem that was officially confirmed by the company, here's what a lot of people don't know, and how important it is.

DIGI Romania losses

DIGI Romania is one of the largest telecommunications operators in our country, with over 10 million customers, and many more millions in subsidiaries in Spain, Hungary, or Italy. DIGI Romania has one of the largest mobile telephony infrastructures in Romania, with 3.7 million customers at the end of 2020, and here we also see a serious problem for the operator, a surprising one, considering the evolution in other areas of Europe.

DIGI Romania announced that at the end of 2020 it had 6.4 million customers of mobile telephony services, 700.000 more than at the end of 2019, the increase being substantial in all the countries in which it operates. Among all these countries, the highest growth for DIGI Romania was recorded in Spain, where 400.000 new customers were added to the mobile network, more than half of the total growth recorded in all of Europe.

DIGI Romania: The HUGE PROBLEM that has been OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED

DIGI Romania attracted a little over 100.000 new customers in Italy and Hungary for mobile telephony services, so there are still around 200.000 new customers attracted to the DIGI Mobil network in our country. The figure represents less than half of the more than 400.000 telephone numbers ported to the network in 2020 by those from DIGI Romania, so a substantial number of clients left the operator during 2020.

DIGI Romania attracts extremely many customers through porting every year, but they also cover substantial losses that the operator has, in relation to the total number of customers who use its telecommunications services. Practically, DIGI Romania is still on a positive trend, but a lot of customers are also leaving, and this is not exactly new, it has been going on for several years, and I have told you in other cases about the fact that network porting it covers the departures, to a certain extent.

DIGI Romania he hasn't talked much about this situation until now, and he won't because it's not exactly something to brag about, but although many clients enter his network, quite a few leave.
