Coronavirus Romania: New Cases, Cures from March 3, 2021

Coronavirus Romania Cases Cured March 3

The Coronavirus pandemic continues to grow in Romania, starting the week with much higher figures for new cases, and this week we should exceed 4000 cases reported daily, if the trend continues.

The numbers of people hospitalized in intensive care, but also of deaths, continue to grow due to the growing number of new cases, and everything will be repeated in the coming weeks until new restrictions are imposed throughout the country, most likely.

The vaccination campaign should be accelerated in March as 2.6 million new doses of vaccines are expected from Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca, but many more vaccination centers are also needed to open across the country to immunize people .

"Until today, March 3, on the territory of Romania, 812.318 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
