Today, the Romanian Police comes with new warnings for all citizens from all over the country, and we are talking about a problem that, unfortunately, is still nearing its end, with the authorities publishing the latest figures regarding the sanctions applied due to non-compliance with the preventive measures against the Coronavirus.
The Romanian Police presents below how many fines were given on the last day of the weekend, an impressive number of sanctions being applied by the authorities, a sign that the rules are still not respected as they should be, but this is also seen in the daily infection figures.
"In the last 24 hours, 2.530 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 7, 6.708 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 1.537.475 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 criminal files were drawn up yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.
We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported."
