Coronavirus Romania Large Number of Cases April 4

On April 4, 2021, the Romanian authorities announced a new large number of new cases of Coronavirus in Romania, and unfortunately we are talking about an increasingly worrying development for our country despite the restrictive measures that have been imposed throughout the territory.

Unfortunately, the number of patients admitted to ATI is still increasing, and this is generating more and more deaths due to the Coronavirus in Romania, the situation continues to get worse, unfortunately, and the authorities are struggling to keep things somewhat normal.

The good part is that we continue to see that the vaccination process is maintained at a good pace, with almost 60.000 new vaccinations being given daily in the vaccination centers, and this can help us return to normal after the Coronavirus pandemic ends.

"Until today, April 4, on the territory of Romania, 974.375 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. 871.950 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4.151 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 789 people were reconfirmed positive.

Until today, 24.070 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

In the interval 03.04.2021/10/00 (04.04.2021:10) - 00/97/44 (53:XNUMX) XNUMX deaths (XNUMX men and XNUMX women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș were reported and Bucharest municipality.

Of these, 5 deaths were registered in the age category 40-49 years, 8 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 20 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 37 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 27 deaths in the over 80 category.

87 of the recorded deaths are of patients who presented comorbidities, 6 deceased patients did not present comorbidities, and for 4 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13.714. Of these, 1.456 are hospitalized at ATI.

Until this date, at the national level, 6.816.552 RT-PCR tests and 642.522 rapid antigenic tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 15.980 RT-PCR tests (7.634 based on case definition and medical protocol and 8.346 on request) and 5.667 rapid antigen tests were performed.

On the territory of Romania, 66.589 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 16.255 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 48.346 people are in home quarantine, and 98 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3.423 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on April 3, 7.112 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 1.675.637 lei.
