Announcement from Valeriu Gheorghita regarding Mobile Vaccination Centers

Valeriu Gheorghita, the coordinator of the vaccination campaign in Romania, said that next week we will have the first mobile vaccination centers available, 20 to be opened with the help of the MApN and the MApN, but only for rural areas and disadvantaged localities, without family doctors .

Valeriu Gheorghita says that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be used in these mobile vaccination centers, even if in the USA it was taken out of use until a new analysis regarding the adverse reactions, in Romania it still remains in use.

"What will happen next week will be the operationalization of 20 mobile vaccination centers, with the support of colleagues from the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These mobile centers basically serve the rural localities, the disadvantaged localities, which do not have access to a family doctor, based on the list of willing people, lists drawn up at the level of the town halls.

These lists are sent to the public health directorates and subsequently a vaccination center or just a mobile team is allocated, which will vaccinate in their own offices, where this facility is available. In this way, we hope to facilitate the access of the respective persons to vaccination. The vaccine to be used is the Johnson & Johnson vaccine."
