Facebook will let its employees continue to work from home

Facebook work at home

Facebook has officially announced that it will let its employees work from home even if the areas where they live are no longer as dangerous after the Coronavirus pandemic will decrease in intensity during this summer.

Facebook says employees will have to request it, likely through human resources departments, and only those who can be allowed to do so will actually be allowed to work from home even after it would be safe to return to office work.

Facebook takes this decision while other large companies decide to force employees to return to the offices to work, so it remains to be seen how long this decision of the American company will be effectively kept.

"For example, parents who are closer to their children and are happy to reduce their commuting time and optimize their working day, are excited to work from home. Obviously this is working from home during a pandemic, we are not in a period of healthy remote work.

We have people juggling care giving responsibilities, we have people living in small apartments with roommates, those people are desperate to get back into offices and we are working very hard to do that as soon as it is safe to open our offices .”
