Fuchsia: The Android replacement and Samsung's Official Decision

Fuchsia Samsung

Fuchsia is the operating system that everyone believes will replace Android in the phones of manufacturers all over the world, and the first to show that it is interested in it is Samsung. The Korean company has become an active contributor to the project through which Googlers develop Fuchsia, but not officially as a replacement for Android, although that's what it will be, only that it will be much more versatile, based on what we know now.

Fuchsia has been in development for years, the process unfolding quite slowly, those from Google seem not to want to allocate substantial resources for the operating system, but maybe things will change from now on. Since December, those from Google have allowed the testing of Fuchsia by various developers, and Samsung is not the first major company to work on it, those from Huawei implementing support for the operating system in their own phone.

Fuchsia: The Android replacement and Samsung's Official Decision

Fuchsia Samsung Contributors

Fuchsia has the Samsung company listed officially among the contributors, and most likely we are talking about an effort involving several engineers of the Korean company, separate from those of Google. It is not very clear how many people from each company are working to turn Fuchsia into the replacement for Android that many people are waiting for, but it is unlikely that the effort will bear real fruit in the immediate period, but only in a few years.

Fuchsia still needs a lot to become a real replacement for Android, and maybe the project started with this idea, but now it's not too big to be this very thing. Considering how long it took for Fuchsia to reach the current level of development, it is hard to believe that in less than 2/3 years we will see a version that can be used on phones, tablets, computers as well it happens with android.

Fuchsia will remain in development but no one knows what new features will be implemented or if Google will ever decide to officially launch it as a solution to replace Android.
