Alexandru Rafila states that despite this, we must still be very vigilant because a new wave of the pandemic can hit our country at any time, so we must not think that normality is "around the corner", because the reality is completely different.
"At 130-150 cases, there is no more inter-community transmission of the infection in Romania. Even if the numbers are underestimated, 500 cases per day at the national level does not mean community transmission, it is sporadic. We must understand that in Romania there were fewer mutant variants, except for the variant from Great Britain.
If slowly there are cases with a variant with higher transmissibility, for example the Indian variant has 40-50% faster transmissibility than the classic variant, then we can say that community transmission is re-emerging. said Alexandrul Rafila at DIGI 24."
