Warning from Valeriu Gheorghita for Millions of Romanians

Valeriu Gheorghita has a warning for millions of Romanians all over the country who at the moment do not have that much of a desire to get vaccinated, but they should look more seriously towards the fall, when the delta variant of the Coronavirus will generate problems.

Valeriu Gheorghita says that the local authorities should think about the situations in which their localities are quarantined due to the large number of cases of Coronavirus, and try to convince people to get vaccinated in order not to end up in the situation of having such restrictions imposed again.

"Because, otherwise, in the fall we might have real problems in certain localities where the vaccination coverage rate is not sufficient, where the collective immunization of the population is far below what is relevant from an epidemiological point of view and -it could be possible to reach situations where certain local representatives, the mayors, have to look at how their localities will be quarantined, because during the period when it was time to vaccinate, these activities were not carried out.

So, things are as clear and serious as possible and it is up to us to organize this activity very well in the coming period. I repeat, I propose that by the end of July all localities, the more than 2.800 communes, have a mobile vaccination team, whether they belong to Johnson&Johnson, once or as many times as these requests will be made."
