Facebook brings "Experts" to Social Network Groups

Facebook experts

Facebook has decided to make a surprising change within its social network, more precisely to offer the possibility to allow the identification of certain people as "experts" in certain fields within chat groups, something that has not been possible until now.

Facebook implements this change to combat disinformation within its social network, something that happens very often, but now group administrators also have the opportunity to combat false information with "experts" on various topics.

Facebook will allow administrators to offer the title of "expert" to anyone within a group, so there are no limits from this point of view, but the company relies on the fact that administrators will make the right choices regarding the platform.

A new way for admins to recognize knowledgeable members of their group by designating them as group experts has been released. Administrators now have the ability to select specific members of their communities who stand out, empowering them to play a more meaningful role.

After accepting this role, group experts will receive a badge next to their name in the group, making it easier for group members to identify informative posts and comments from designated experts. Now available to select groups on desktop and mobile, admins can collaborate with group experts to host Q&As, share insights on a topic, and answer questions.
