RO-ALERT is a system that was thought to send Romanians messages in case of natural disasters, mainly, but also regarding any kind of dangers that affect their lives, including tap water that is not potable, as they have those from Campina found out.

RO-ALERT was used by the local authorities to alert the inhabitants that they should not consume tap water because it is no longer drinkable, and most likely no one expected to receive such a message.

RO-ALERT was used the other day by local authorities to alert citizens after the local company that distributes water to people's homes, as well as DSP, detected the fact that the water was contaminated, recommending that it be used for anything not involves consumption or contamination of other foods.

"In view of this situation, the Hidro Prahova company says that it is accelerating the washing-sanitization works of the water system that supplies the Câmpina municipality and is intensifying the water quality monitoring program, according to the regulations in force. According to preliminary evaluations, the streets affected by this decision are: Drumul Taberei (from the Mușcel reservoir, to the intersection with Voila street), Voila (from the intersection of Drumul Taberei to the Voila Hospital), Silvicultorului, Buciumului, as well as the Voila Hospital . Hidro Prahova has extended the measure of restricting the consumption of drinking water to the municipality of Câmpina, for the prevention and elimination of any risk regarding the health status of the population."
