Romania Serious Evolution Wave 4 Reimposed Restrictions

Romania continues to go through a very serious situation in the 4th wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, the number of new cases increasing alarmingly from one day to the next, and this has led to the reimposition of restrictions in a very large number of localities throughout the country.

Romania registered last week a number of 49 localities where restrictions were imposed due to the fact that the incidence rates exceeded 3/1000 inhabitants, but this week the number not only doubled, but increased even more.

Romania currently has 119 localities that have imposed restrictions because the incidence rates exceed 3/1000 inhabitants, the INSP talking about an increasingly serious situation in our country as the Delta variant spreads faster and faster through the country.

Romania also records a national average of 1.58 cases per 1000 inhabitants, 50% higher than a week ago, and if the trend continues, next weekend we will approach a national average of 2.5 cases per 1000 inhabitants, Unfortunately.

Romania could also have over 200 localities with incidence rates of over 3/1000 inhabitants, and of course all those where this threshold has now been reached will move towards incidence rates of 6/1000 inhabitants, those from which can also decide the imposition of regional quarantine.
