WhatsApp has available options in the settings menu that allow us to keep away from the eyes of any curious information about the statuses we publish, but also about the activity. From the privacy settings menu, we can disable both the possibility for anyone to see our latest activity within WhatsApp, but also the statuses we publish, in this last situation, more settings are available for all of us.
